The Institute of Therapeutic Massage & Wellness makes all efforts to address the different learning styles of the individual students. All instructors utilize audio, visual, and kinesthetic teaching techniques whenever possible.

650 Hour Massage Therapy Program

Prerequisites
Due to the nature of our 650 Hour Massage Therapy program, no prerequisites are required for our courses.

All students take one program.

Theory
Technique Levels 1, 2, 3
Pathology
Student Clinic
Community Service
Body Mechanics / Self Care
Business/Ethics
Pregnancy Massage (part of Technique class)
National Board Exam (part of Theory class)
Introduction To Reflexology
Spa Therapy / Hydrotherapy
Shiatsu
Aromatherapy
Polarity
Trigger Point Therapy
Reiki
Seated Massage / On-site
Acupressure
CPR / First Aid (must be taken outside regular program prior to starting clinic)

Spa Therapy Certification Program

Prerequisites:  Must be a current ITMW student, ITMW graduate, or Licensed Massage Therapist. 

Course Description:  This is a series of courses that will teach the student the fundamentals of a spa environment, benefits of exfoliation, detoxification, manipulation of soft tissue with heat apparatus, cost structures of services and what is expected of a therapist in a spa environment with 90% hands on application.  Students will receive a Certificate of Completion upon completion of Program.

4 Part Reflexology Certification Program

$850 for ITMW students/graduates  or $925 for others

Prerequisites:  Due to the nature of our program, no prerequisites are required.

Course Description:  Based on the gentle techniques of Illinois native Ina Bryant, this course is ideal for

  1. Those who aim to practice full-time
  2. Individuals interested in a home-based source of income
  3. Those who want to learn Reflexology to use for family and friends.

Students will receive a Certificate of Completion upon completion of this Program.

Reflexology I        September 15&16, 2007

Reflexology II        October 20&21, 2007

Reflexology III       November. 17&18, 2007
